On Tuesday, Salvador Guerrero Chiprés, coordinator of the Command, Control, Computing, Communications and Citizen Contact Center (C5) of Mexico City, confirmed the failed landing of a parachutist in the capital. The incident was captured on video. The footage, shared by Chiprés himself in his official X account, shows a man who got stuck on a traffic light after parachuting down at the intersection of Balderas and Juárez. “From the C2 Centro Histórico, we carried out preventive monitoring and coordinated with personnel from the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat to verify that there was no damage or risk in the area,” the text reads. The events occurred in the early hours of Tuesday. The parachutist in question is said to be a 36-year-old man who jumped from a small plane; his nationality, highlighted by various media, corresponds to a U.S. citizen. Monitoring by the C5 Mexico City allowed the identification of a man who got stuck on a traffic light after parachuting down at Balderas and Juárez.
